Elissa Burke is a self-taught artist living in the Pacific Northwest. She works primarily in acrylic paints. 

Growing up on a small farm, two of Elissa’s favorite things were spending time outdoors and drawing. As a teenager she began to take her art more seriously. After several years of focusing on pencil portraits and colored pencil illustration she decided to try painting and set up her first painting studio in the loft of her family's chicken barn. Since that time she has grown to love acrylic painting. 

Elissa now lives and paints in Tacoma, Washington. She and her husband love to garden, and many of her paintings are inspired by their own trees and flowers as well as beautiful places she has visited. She also enjoys painting pet portraits.
